Yesterday I was able to hear Tara Rodas, HHS whistleblower, and several other passionate speakers while attending a SHARE Group event in Schereville, Indiana yesterday. The speakers delved into topics like human trafficking, grooming conviction laws, and the harrowing stories of whistleblowers shedding light on missing children at the border. It's crucial for us to get involved because human trafficking isn't just a distant problem—it's happening in every state. These discussions were not only eye-opening but also a call to action, compelling me to unite against this pervasive evil and protect the most vulnerable in our society.
This is my collage cross artwork today and choose to use the scripture Romans 12:21 because of the stories I heard yesterday. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
In my understanding, Romans 12:21 teaches me not to let evil conquer me, but to believe that goodness ultimately prevails. It reminds me that despite the challenges and trials, the force of goodness and righteousness will emerge victorious in the end, but that we must not sit back silently, but we must act. I think part of "do not be overcome by evil" means simply do not sit silent while you know horrible things are taking place around you. It is my true belief that when we know and do nothing we are truly being overcome by evil.
